From The President's Desk

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure and honor that I address you as the President of our esteemed society. I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all of you. I welcome you on the digital platform of BDOS.

As Ophthalmologists, we play a crucial role in not only diagnosing and treating eye-related ailments but also in promoting public awareness about eye health. The Bhopal Divisional Ophthalmic Society has been at the forefront of these endeavors for several years, bringing together professionals who are dedicated to the cause of eye care.

Our society serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, professional development and networking amongst Ophthalmologists in the Bhopal division. Through regular conferences, workshops, and seminars, we strive to keep ourselves updated with the latest advancements in our field. It is our collective responsibility to enhance our skills and knowledge to provide the best possible eye care services to our patients.

In addition to professional CMEs, our society also emphasizes the importance of community outreach and eye health education. We actively participate in eye camps, awareness programs and take initiatives to reach underprivileged sections of society.

I invite each and every member of the Bhopal Divisional Ophthalmic Society to actively participate in our events, share your expertise and contribute towards the growth of our society. Your engagement and active involvement will undoubtedly strengthen our organization and enable us to accomplish even greater milestones.

I hope this website platform will be quite helpful where you can find details of not only our upcoming events, conferences & workshops but details of previous events also. One can also see other relevant information about present & past office bearers and many more.

With Warm Regards
Best regards to everyone
Dr. Gajendra Chawla President, BDOS

From The Secretary's Desk

Dear Friends,

With your blessings and trust, I take this responsibility to carry forward the legacy as secretary of BDOS 2022-24.

“Doing the things right and Doing right things” both are equally important and it all becomes easy if you work as a team. It is my fortune to be a part of this team where everyone is committed, efficient and respectful of each other's opinion. We have a very dynamic President Dr. Gajendra Chawla Sir who has also been secretary MPSOS and a very hard working Clinical Secretary Dr.Harpal Singh.

BDOS is an esteemed organization where we all are Ophthalmologists with different framework of mind and have different pattern of working. Every individual and organization with whom we all are associated is unique in itself and has something new to contribute. This gives us a wide perspective and a rich experience on issues.

While working as a Professor in a Medical College and as a clinician too, I always felt my moral responsibility towards our postgraduates, that is our future Ophthalmologists. “Gurukul ” is our online master class for postgraduates and comprehensive Ophthalmologists which will take academics to newer heights. This initiative has received a lot of appreciation.

Apart from academics which is the crux, we wish to do community service through screening camps.

So on this journey, lets come together and participate.

Thank You
Warm Regards
Dr. Vasudha Damle Hon. Secretary, BDOS

From The Clinical Secretary's Desk

Dear Members,

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of BDOS official committee which has now come up with the BDOS website. This website will be of great help in providing recent works and advancements being conducted by BDOS. Also, details of all the ophthalmologists registered under BDOS till date will be available at one forum. We have also incorporated the previous activities conducted by BDOS along with the BDOS highlights. It was a long standing dream and has now become a reality specially by great inputs and efforts from BDOS President Dr Gajendra Chawla, Honorary Secretary Dr Vasuda Damle and all the executive members of BDOS. Hope this website will guide the young budding ophthalmologists not only academically but also to interact with their mentors. This website also shares beautiful moments BDOS has celebrated since it's foundation. I wish BDOS loads of success in times to come.

I wish all the success.

Thank you
Best regards to everyone
Dr. Harpal Singh Clinical Secretary, BDOS

From The Treasurer's Desk

Dear Friends,

With my utmost sincerity and gratitude I would like to thank the members of Bhopal divisional ophthalmic society for showing faith in me and electing me as the treasurer of the society. It’s an honour to work with such personalities which outshine in our society. I would really contribute everything I can and serve this post with all my heart and pride. Excellent candidates must have a deep knowledge of their field and be able to use that knowledge in complex situations and processes. As a treasurer's profile I would give utmost priority to important elements such as reliability, communication skills, leadership, critical thinking and decision-making for the smooth and effective working of the organisation The most momentous role of the Treasurer is to look over all aspects of financial management and work closely with other members of the executive committee to safeguard the organization’s finances. I am now seeking the opportunity to utilize my experience to this organisation as a Treasurer. My highlights range from creating budget and finance reports, maintaining savings accounts, and overseeing the development and implementation of budgets to ensure financial security my responsibilities would also include General financial oversight, funding, fundraising , financial planning and budgeting, financial reporting, banking, record keeping and control of fixed assets.

I ensure to work actively with the organisation and would fully coordinate with the chair and the committee as and when required. Clarifying financial implications of proposals; confirming legal requirements; outlining the current financial status; and retrieving relevant documentation would be a part of our findings.

I will ensure that my role to this forum as treasurer matches to the current energy and diligent dynamics of our organization. I will try to maintain proper coordination with the post holders of the society and members for efficient functioning. Looking forward to a lot of great experience and learning.

I will need your blessings through my tenure and beyond. Thank you.
Warm Regards
Dr. Madhu Chanchlani Treasurer, BDOS
