Pray for unity, harmony and long life of BDOS...

BDOS started with 6 pioneer members in 1974 with Late Dr Santokh singh, Late Dr SR.Pathak, Late Dr KL khoshley, Late Dr Ahmed Hafeez, Late Dr Meera Gargye and Late Dr JK Raizada at Gandhi Medical College. In year 1983-87, Late Dr Hafeez Ahmad was president and Late Dr Salil kumar was secretary and Dr Ranjit Chakraborty was tresurer. After that continously with efforts from all the senior members, BDOS strenght started increasing.

Contribution from Dr Late Prof B. Shukla, late Dr Gurdeep singh, Dr S.Bisaria Gupta and various other faculties of GMC, BDOS organised various Conferences like MPSOS in 2002, 2009, 2016 and AIOS in 2006 and various others.

Now BDOS is society of 262 members and 45 PG members and all ophthalmologist of Bhopal are involved in BDOS activities like trust hospital, corporate hospital, Govt Hospital, private or govt medical colleges as well as private practitioners. All joined hands for working and success of BDOS to perform better scientific activities for academic upliftment of society and their doctors.

Budding ophthalmologist of Bhopal and around as well as PGs are real strength of BDOS and various BDOS activities like wet labs and young ophthalmological competitive sessions are performed by them.

Past presidents ,secretaries, tresurers and all office bearers with their executives worked hard for various academic, social and patient awareness activities at Bhopal and surrounding areas as well as active participation at state, National and International levels and winning awards too.
